My Beads, My Story™

The signature creative experience from Saras Beads & Jewellery®

My Beads, My Story™ is a 90-minute guided jewellery-making experience, thoughtfully designed by Saras Beads & Jewellery® for ages 9 and up, and for adults. No previous experience is needed — our facilitators guide every stage, from choosing colours to finishing a piece you'll want to wear.

Across five guided stages, participants explore beads, colour and pattern, design and make their own bracelet or necklace, and choose a bead, colour or charm as The Personal Anchor™ — a personal reminder carrying a meaning they choose for themselves. Sharing that meaning is always optional.

The Five Stages

  • Discover (10 minutes) — explore beads, colour and the stories behind them.
  • Design (15 minutes) — plan a bracelet or necklace using colour, pattern and a charm.
  • Create (40 minutes) — make and adjust the piece with facilitator guidance.
  • Connect (15 minutes) — choose a bead, colour or charm as The Personal Anchor™ and decide what it personally represents.
  • Celebrate (10 minutes) — name and reflect on the finished piece; sharing its story is optional.

  • Their finished piece of jewellery, made by hand

Who It's For

My Beads, My Story™ suits a wide range of groups, including schools, colleges, community organisations, NHS staff teams, workplaces and other groups looking for a shared creative experience. Whatever brings your group together, we'll shape the session around them.

Where It Takes Place

Sessions usually take place at Saras Beads & Jewellery®, Units 4–5, Parkside Yards, 1 Seva Drive, The Green Quarter, Southall UB1 1GH. If another venue would suit your group better, get in touch and we can discuss what's feasible for that setting.

My Beads, My Story™ is a creative jewellery-making activity. Beads, colours and stones are used for design and personal symbolism; the workshop does not offer medical treatment or promise health outcomes.
